Static electricity can cause electromagnetic interference (EMI) also known as radio frequency interference (RFI)

If an object has a strong electrostatic charge, it can create EMI/RFI interference with electronic controls, such as web guides, inspection cameras and main machinery controls. This interference has been known to cause intermittent and total failure of affected electronic controls.

Test your ionizer's static neutralizing performance.

A static meter is a hand held tool designed to measure the presence, magnitude and polarity of electrostatic charges from virtually any material. With this unit you can confirm whether your ionizers are operating effectively, as well as perform other valuable testing and data collection.

Insulators are poor conductors of electricity and cannot be effectively neutralized of static solely by electrical grounding.

Many materials like plastic molded parts are insulators. The most reliable and effective means for neutralizing an insulator is by using an ionizer. There are several type of ionizers, each with unique capabilities and suitability for specific applications. 

A proper Technical Application Review can make the difference between your static control equipment working well or not working well in your application.

Often non-technical rationale can dictate the placement of static eliminators within manufacturing processes. The correct method for determining static eliminator placement is based on several factors, some which may not be immediately apparent. To ensure you are positioning your static control in the best locations to obtain optimal results, your application should be reviewed by a qualified static control engineer or technician. You may find that a small adjustment can make a big difference in effectively controlling your static problem.

Routinely cleaning your static eliminator bar's emitter points can greatly improve the performance and operation of your units.

How to clean: Light cleaning can be performed by blowing off your ionizer bars with compressor air. For heavy cleaning, use isopropyl alcohol and a paintbrush to brush off any contaminants that cannot be removed by blowing off the unit.

Power to static eliminator must be off during cleaning. Allow static eliminator to dry completely before restoring power.
