Replace vanes once they reach a minimum width of 18mm
Ensure the beveled edge rides smoothly against the cylinder wall
Vane life depends mostly on temperature and vacuum level. Run the pump in an ambient environment with adequate airflow and a maximum temperature of 100°F.
Keep dirt and debris off the pump and motor using compressed air every 2,000 hours
Starting and stopping the pump more than 3 times per hour will reduce vane life
Run the pump at the lowest acceptable pressure level
